Early Childhood Educator ECE Level III

Job Description:

Shining Stars – provides high quality childcare services in a warm, supportive, and safe environment for children as well as for families looking for socialization opportunities for their children. We provide a variety of learning experiences both indoors and outdoors to enhance the child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. We are looking to hire a qualified ECE Level III to join our team to help us maintain a positive learning environment for children.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children
• Overall program planning and coordination consistent with the needs and abilities of the children
• Providing for the maximum possible health, safety, and wellbeing for children
• Maintaining the facility, supplies, and equipment in safe & clean condition
• Maintaining confidentiality for all children and parent and staff
• Keeping Director updated and informed
• Participation in staff meetings, workshops, etc. as assigned by Director and supervisor
• Working collaboratively with other educators to maximize the efficiency of the program
• Report damaged or worn equipment to the Director/Supervisor
• Greeting with the parents on drop off and pick up times
• Assist with daily preparation, clean-up, and activities as needed

Requirements:
• Completed a two-year diploma program or a degree program in early childhood care and education, approved by the board
• Early Childhood Educator level III Certificate with experience working with children
• CPR and First aid
• Food Safety course-certificate
• Current Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector
