FitzGerald and Snow (2010) Ltd is leader in the construction industry on PEI and we are looking for the right individual to strengthen our Design Build Team, at our Charlottetown location, with the addition of a Senior Architectural Technologist. Senior Architectural Technologist / Drafting Technician Responsibilities This position involves drafting work to prepare engineering drawings for design projects such as the design of new commercial and industrial facilities, site and land use developments, servicing and site grading plans, apartment buildings, interior space planning, structural and foundation plans, and architectural 3D renderings. The draftsperson will be required to regularly consult with design engineers / project managers on assigned projects, maintain file storage system for plans and related tender documents, and ensure drafting standards are consistent with company practices and applicable codes & standards. Senior Architectural Technologist / Drafting Technician Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience and have obtained certification from a recognized educational institution with strong knowledge of AutoCAD, the National Building Code and some general understanding with Revit. The candidate must possess a strong attention to detail, high quality planning, analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. This position requires an individual that can work within a team environment as well as work independently to meet client deadlines.
