Dietary Aide

Job Description:

The Dietary Aides are to ensure standards are met in Food Service Operations by completing job duties as assigned which include portioning, serving and cleanup of meals and snacks to Residents. •Must have successfully completed the food safety awareness program • Preferences will be given to individuals who have experience in food services in either long term care or chronic acute health care. • Must be knowledgeable of the (Provincial) PEI Food Premises Regulation and Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. • Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions. • Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift. There is much repetition in the tasks, must be able to organize time so to vary duties limiting repetitive movements. • Must be knowledgeable of the (Provincial) PEI Food Premises Regulation and Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. • Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
