The RCA will assist the resident care worker to perform personal care while promoting the health, comfort and safety of residents. The RCA will provide the best possible Person Centered Care to our residents, while also creating a warm and home like environment. Creating an environment that is safe, happy and welcoming to all is what we strive to achieve each day.
“Caring is What We Do Best” Qualifications: Grade Ten education. Previous experience working with seniors would be an asset. This position requires a motivated individual who works well with minimal supervision. The RCA will establish and maintain a good interpersonal relationship with co-workers, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities: Answer bells and make beds; assist with feeding residents; assist in kitchen when required; Clean up dining areas after each meal, sweep floors, wash tables, set tables; Ensure residents faces and hands are clean; Serve drinks to residents and snacks; Assist activity director with activities; accompany residents to appointments when required; function as part of multidisciplinary team; check fridges daily and restock when needed; Respect confidentiality on matters pertaining to the Lodge, residents and staff. Other duties as required.
