Summer Program Leader (Student Position)
Location: Wise Skateboarding Park, 1 Aviation Ave – Charlottetown
Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time, Summer Term)

Wise is hiring a Summer Program Leader to help run our daytime youth summer camp at our indoor skatepark in Charlottetown. This position is ideal for a responsible, energetic student who enjoys working with kids and wants to be part of a positive, active environment.

Position Overview
The Summer Program Leader will help supervise and engage children throughout the day in a structured but fun environment. Our camp includes a loose one-hour skate lesson or guided free skate, lunch time, crafts, games, and occasional field trips (including park outings and other local activities). We are open to both skaters and non-skaters for this position, so part of this role includes introducing new participants to skateboarding in a safe and encouraging way.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children ages 5–12 from approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00PM
• Support beginners and introduce non-skaters to basic skateboarding skills
• Organize games and structured activities inside and outside the park
• Help manage lunch periods and transitions throughout the day
• Accompany and supervise children on local field trips and park visits
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment
• Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and participants

Qualifications

• Current student (high school or post-secondary)
• Comfortable working with children in a leadership role
• Responsible, patient, and energetic
• Skateboarding experience is an asset but not required
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
• Must be reliable and available for the full summer term
