Inclusion Support Assistant

Job Description:

The Inclusion Support Assistant will enable children with special needs to participate to their full potential in environments that are carefully planned to serve individual needs, and to facilitate the child’s progress in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas of development.

As part of our team you are responsible to:

• Offer a play-based, emergent curriculum
• Create, adapt and maintain an environment that protects the health and safety of children and adults
• Observe, record, and document children’s work
• Foster social interactions and child development
• Adapt equipment, materials and supplies to meet the needs of children with special needs
• Build relationships with children, parents and co-worker
• Other duties as assigned
