Food Service Supervisor

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the food service line. This will include scheduling, tracking product and supply inventory, as well as coordinating can/pouch/agglomerate line production and completing daily computerized production reports. Schedule hours will vary depending upon production schedule and will include after hour calls. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for meeting strict deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Ensure Food Service and its employees are operating under all Food Safety and Company procedures and policies
• Ensure Food Service is operating efficiently and in the most cost effective manner
• Keep daily records and filing information
• Generating cost reports for the Food Service area
• Performing monthly inventory checks
• Communicate with other production areas & administration
• Inform other employees of unsafe working and operating practices and report any action sited
• Operating and maintaining forklift
• Operating and maintain packaging equipment
• Perform any duty assigned including plant clean-up, housekeeping or operation of any area required
• Follow all housekeeping policies according to good manufacturing practices
• Responsible for warehouse sanitation
• Responsibilities of this position may change according to company operating policy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding Food Safety and Operating Procedures
• Good writing, communication and math skills
• Excellent housekeeping/sanitation practices
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and correct situations
• Heavy lifting will be required
• Computer literacy an asset
• Experience in a packaging/ warehouse environment would be beneficial
