Career Bridges is a unique and proven PEI based employment skills and vocational assessment program that guides people considering a career change or further training through a 12-week journey that starts by unlocking their inner strengths, moves on to teaching career skills, and then finally arranges for clients to put all of this into action in rewarding real-world work situations. Summary
The Program Coordinator is the lead on the Career Bridges program (www.careerbridges.pe.ca). This position is responsible for ensuring that the integrity and continuity of program delivery is maintained in all three locations on PEI, namely Charlottetown, Summerside and O’Leary. The Coordinator is required to oversee the program and staff with respect to scheduling, delegation and logistics as well as administer assessment tests and cooperate with referral agencies.
Job Duties
- Oversee program development
- Administer the Strong Interest Inventory® Test and other assessments using tools such as Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT), and Differential Aptitude Test (DAT)
- Manage program promotion and communications
- Oversee the registration of participants
- Evaluate Program Facilitators’ performance and provide feedback
- Review and assess feedback on all programs for continuous improvement
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counselling or Education
- Familiar with various assessment tools i.e.: CAAT, DAT
- Significant teaching experience plus administration and staff supervision duties
- Experience in program development and assessment
- Strong interpersonal, organization and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Knowledge of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel to program locations across Island (Charlottetown, Summerside and O’Leary)
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in Adult Education would be considered
Terms
- This position has a 19-hour work week (flexible options) and requires travel to on-Island program delivery locations
- This is a 40-week contract starting September 24th and ending June 28th with a strong probability of annual renewal
- Compensation is in the range of $26 to $28/hr
- Anticipated start date: September 24, 2018
