E-Commerce/Social Media Coordinator

Job Description:

Are you a student looking for a creative outlet this summer? We’re looking for a savvy self-starter who kills it at social media and is capable of learning the ins-and-outs of our various sales channels.  This is a full-time seasonal position with opportunities for part-time work during the school year.  Duties will include:

• working with the owners on a story brand
• creating and executing a marketing/promotion plan
• content creation and updates for online sales channels
• managing live chats and online store sessions
• ensuring marketing collateral is up-to-date, stocked and circulated to all possible partners
• promote sales, contesting etc…
• document the jewelry making process
• help arrange pop up shop opportunities
• ensure all online orders are fulfilled, picked up and/or mailed off
• cover in-store retail shifts as required
• other duties as required

The successful candidate will be creative, an excellent communicator and detail oriented. Willingness to put yourself “out there” while showcasing products is a big plus. Ability to offer superior customer service skills online is a must.  This new position will require an ambitious motivated person with the ability to learn new skills.  Ability to meet deadlines, analyze reports and pivot approach based on results will be expected. Experience in retail, hospitality and/or customer service environment an asset. Commission for online sales will be added to base salary.  Training and mentoring provided. Work environment will be a mix of working from our Peake’s shop and from home. Occasional travel to Cavendish and other locations will be required. Reliable transportation is a must. Jewelry photo box, light rings etc… provided.  Own laptop and smartphone an asset.
