Boom Truck/Crane Operator

Job Description:

We are currently accepting applications for the Permanent, full-time position of Boom Truck / Crane Operator

This includes:

• Gain knowledge of products, merchandise and services offered by the company
• Attend boom truck operators course offered by the Atlantic Building Supply Dealers Association
• Load and unload and deliver building materials to job sites
• Maintain delivery trucks and report any repairs required or issues with the trucks to fleet manager to ensure kept in safe working order
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking
• Operate forklift as required to load and unload trucks
• Receive orders and stock yard inventory as needed
• Assist customers in the yard picking up products and also providing product information as needed
• Ensure boom truck and warehouse are kept clean and well maintained for safety
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Assemble and disassemble products for display as required
• Work with team members to maximize customer satisfaction
• Follows and enforces company policies and procedures
• Additional duties as assigned
• Assist in annual physical inventory counts

• Ability to work flexible schedule, including Saturdays
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Team player
• Highly organized with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments, and Handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
• Valid Driver’s Class 3A License
