Labourer

Job Description:

Island Steel is seeking a dedicated and motivated Labourer to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to painting and being a welder’s helper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with spray painting tasks in the steel fabrication process
• Load and unload steel materials
• Drill holes in steel components
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane (training provided)
• Support welders and other team members with general labor duties as needed
• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
• Willingness to learn and take on new skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Forklift and crane operation experience is a plus, but not required
