Job Description:

Screen incoming phone calls, open and sort mail, draft responses to correspondence, and redirect to CAO as needed. Maintains constant and consistent communication with the CAO on all matters.

Gather, copy, file and record AR and AP data in accounting software under the direction of the CAO. Follow all standard accounting procedures.

Ensure that matters requiring attention are passed on to the CAO in a timely manner or referred to the delegated person.

Produce and format information for internal and external distribution by inputting, editing, proofreading, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data, charts and graphics into formats such as written letters and memos, reports, and presentations as needed.

Ensure information requested for broad distribution has been thoroughly reviewed, proofread, and vetted through the appropriate channels before distribution having exercised excellent communication skills.

Plan for meetings and events including reserving internal meeting rooms or off-site venues, compiling meeting materials and presentations.

Attend meetings, record and prepare minutes for distribution, and follow-up on action items as required and directed by CAO.

Research information pertaining to ongoing projects as assigned by CAO.

This is a summer position.  The ideal candidate has graduated from High School and will return to post secondary studies in September.
