Job Description:

The Canadian Mental Health Association, PEI Division is looking for an individual to help coordinate, design, populate and update a new donor database system.  The successful candidate would be working with CMHA’s fund development and accounting teams, and software developers, to bring the project from conception to completion.

Duties will include:

  • Gathering current donor information from the past five years from various sources (in-house, online, spreadsheets)
  • Working with CMHA staff to map exactly the types of information that need to be populated and collected moving forward
  • Liaising with the software team to implement custom fields, cross reference applications, input grants and contribution information, set up fundraising details and to troubleshoot issues
  • Working with the Website Coordinator to implement online donation options, course registrations, event ticketing etc…
  • Coaching administrative staff on how to use new system
  • Other related duties as require

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a diploma or degree in a related field
  • Has experience and/or knowledge of how databases work
  • Is a problem solver and able to help create and/or facilitate custom solutions if needed
  • Is adept at ensuring proper analytics are in place
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Has the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Is detailed oriented
  • Has a general understanding of what mental health is

Start Date: January 18, 2020 – March 26, 2020
Rate of Pay: 20.23/hour
Work Location: 178 Fitzroy Street
Requirements: Criminal Record Check

* As per funding agreement, this is a 10 week internship open to recent (in the last 12 months) graduates, 30 years old or younger who self assess as unemployed or underemployed for their level of education, and are legally entitled to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person who has been granted refugee status.

* A budget for specific digital skills training and “soft” skills training is available to help see this project to completion.

* Daily work schedule is flexible and based on 37.5 hours/week.
