Job Description:

*This job is a 2-year FDE position with a pay level of P1-P3, which will be determined depending on candidate experience

Elanco is the Animal Health Division of Eli Lilly.  Elanco is a global, innovation-driven company that develops and markets products to improve animal health and protein production in more than 75 countries.   The purpose of this IT Analyst role located at the Elanco Prince Edward Island location is to:

  • Be responsible to manage local IT systems and related IT infrastructure
  • Participate/Lead projects to deliver new information and technology based solutions into the business areas
  • Strive to become a trusted IT professional to their business area, identify new opportunities and drive value from existing IT solutions

Responsibilities/Duties:

Technologist

  • Primary resource for the business use of  local IT solutions
  • Coordinate with Global IT to ensure successful support of global IT solutions
  • Engage, manage and partner with 3rd party vendors to maintain on-site technology infrastructure (e.g., data center, network, workstations, Servers, etc.)
  • Point of contact to resolve technical issues (break-fix testing and or change requests)
  • Research and evaluate technology solutions to support the site
  • Ensure technology deliverables adhere to company and regulatory policies
  • System custodian for local systems (including Building Management System, Building Security System)
  • Ensure the system remains in a validated state and manage its lifecycle through releases, recapitalization, and retirement

Business Analyst

  • Account Management: Serve as an account manager for various functional areas, working with the business to identify and capture new opportunities, improve processes and optimize the value IT can provide
  • Project Delivery: Lead and participate in the project team delivery of IT solutions
  • IT functional impact: Resource for internal and global IT peers across manufacturing and solution services to identify and share solutions to meet business partners’ needs
  • Compliance: Produce and maintain validation documentation in adherence to company standards. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma (Information Technology, Science Field, or technical Business discipline)
  • 2-5 years of information technology experience

 Additional Preferences:

  • Relevant experience in IT within manufacturing regulated industry
  • Broad IT infrastructure experience. Including: S95 Network / Network Segmentation
  • Computerized System validation experience
  • Automation system troubleshooting and management is a plus
  • Basic understanding of ITIL
  • Demonstrated learning agility both technically as well as business processes and applications
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong account management skills, including research, listening, effective communication and presentation, ability to influence business partners, identify opportunities
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, changing environment with multiple competing projects
  • Experience working with third party providers
  • Knowledge in at least one (or more) core manufacturing IT application and/or business area, including:  LIMS, OSI PI, Rockwell Automation,  Delta Control, SAP
