Job Description:

Scope:

Ensure packaging jobs are completed quickly and accurately. Complete the proper training to ensure products are packaged according to written procedures in accordance with quality system requirements.

Responsibilities:

May include some or all of the following:

  • Operating fully automated computer-driven filling, capping, labeling and inspection equipment.
  • Operating semi-automated filling, capping and labeling equipment.
  • Operating within a regulated, clean room environment.
  • Assembling diagnostic products as per Quality System requirements and customer expectations.
  • Ensuring precise and accurate completion of all documentation relating to the filling, labeling and assembly of diagnostic products.
  • Strict adherence to established Quality System requirements and EHS policies.
  • Assisting with training of new Packaging Associates.
  • Knowledge of the ERP system.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Education / Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience with manufacturing and ERP software.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, DMAIC tools is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment regulated by QSR/GMP and ISO 9001 is preferred.

Skills / Pre-requisites:

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer skills including working knowledge Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-function team environment as well as with all departments and levels of leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Good administrative and clerical skills.
  • Working over-time (i.e.: extended day shifts, evening shifts, weekends), as required, to maintain packaging release schedules.
  • Heavy lifting as required.

  •  No specific training experience required.
