Job Description:

JKN is seeking a Financial Administrator. This position is based in Charlottetown, reports to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and works 37.5 hours a week.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A diploma or degree in business studies with a specialization in accounting
- 3+ years relevant experience in accounting and payroll
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting and Microsoft Office suite software (advanced skill in Excel)
- Ability to follow through on assignments
- A high attention to detail

What You’ll Do
The Financial Administrator’s primary responsibilities will be: maintain timely and accurate financial records in Sage Accounting and Excel, post journal entries, reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements.
The successful candidate will:
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts and maintain general ledgers;
- Process and distribute client invoices and receipts in a timely manner;
- Maintain and distribute accurate listing of overdue accounts and suspensions in accordance with agency policies;
- Prepare monthly usage reports from the Learning Management System;
- Process vendor and supplier invoices, in a timely manner, verifying accuracy, approvals and account coding;
- Prepare all Accounts Payable sub-ledger journals for posting;
- Prepare vendor reports and payments;
- Prepare regular bank reconciliations and deposits;
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries as required;
- Prepare monthly financial reports on revenues and expenditures;
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll submissions to JKN’s third party payroll provider;
- Assist with time tracking reports and allocation analysis;
- Assist in the facilitation of revenue generation and account management through the preparation of statistical, financial and user reports;
- Assist with preparation of year-end Audit file.
