Job Description:

The Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Executive Officer and the Board of Directors in fulfilling the mandate and strategic plan of the Association.

The Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association is a not for profit organization that represents 250 REALTORS® across the Province. With the delivery of MLS® services, pre licensing education, mandatory education, enforcement of the CREA REALTOR® Code, this is a busy and fast paced work environment.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities

  1. Foster a cooperative work environment.
  2. Assist the Executive Officer in fulfilling the strategic plan and goals of the Association.
  3. Provide meeting support to Association committees and task forces – distribution of notices, agendas, and amendments to the PEIREA Bylaw, MLS® Rules and Regulations.
  4. Prepare confidential correspondence and reports for Executive Officer.
  5. Respond to member and public inquiries.
  6. Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
  7. Make travel arrangements for Executive Officer and Directors. 
  8. Assists with daily administrative operations of the office.
  9. Complete other general assignments and/or special projects as assigned from time-to-time by the Executive Officer.

Qualifications

Education: Successful completion of a post-secondary education in an Administrative or Business program, or equivalent years of experience (5 years minimum) in a senior administrative role.

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite-intermediate to advanced skills.
  • Website management and social media experience.
  • Clear, professional and personable language skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects.
  • Ability to process information with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to professionally deal with unexpected demands.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work overtime as required and attend all special events during regular hours, weekends, and evenings.
