Job Description:
We are currently looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who is creative and passionate about marketing and social media to attract and engage our guests.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in coordinating the day-to-day marketing activities with a focus on digital marketing, social media, reputation management and content creation.
- Develop and maintain local and in house marketing campaigns and collateral according to brand standards.
- Effectively communicating marketing initiatives to management and partners.
- Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
- Assist hotel and resort teams with reputation management.
- Participating in departmental meetings, including marketing, sales and revenue management.
- Actively participating in industry trade shows promoting Rodd Hotels & Resorts.
- Flexibility to meet additional job duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in or having completed a post-secondary diploma/degree with a specialization in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or the equivalent experience is considered a strong asset.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications. (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience with Social Media monitoring and engagement.
- Effective writing and communication skills.
- Excellent goal setting and time management skills.
- Pride in completion of tasks with enthusiasm and strong attention to detail.
- Must be flexible in availability, inclusive of weekends, days, evenings and required holidays.
