In 2017, Prince Edward Island exported a total of $3,347 million and imported $4,555 million of goods and services. This resulted in a trade balance of -$1,208 million. The represents an increase in the deficit by $197 million over 2016 and follows three consecutive years where Prince Edward Island’s trade balance had improved by a total of $285 million.
