Job Description:
Copper Bottom Brewing is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist the head chef with smooth &; safe kitchen operations while working in the taproom as required and providing exceptional customer service.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparing food orders as they are received by taproom staff
- Ensuring a sanitary & tidy work environment at all times
- Assisting head chef with creative food ideas and menu items
- Assisting the head chef with costing, sourcing, and vendors as required
- Following daily opening & closing procedures
- Helping alongside the chef with keeping track of food inventory
- Cleaning & reporting maintenance needs for all kitchen equipment. Follow SOP’s and maintenance schedule.
- Working with the chef to improve kitchen procedures &; efficiency
- Working with the chef and taproom staff and being the on-site point of contact for events as required
- Assisting taproom staff with bussing & re-stocking in the taproom
- Assisting taproom staff with serving when necessary
- Pouring drinks as required
- Assisting taproom staff with the changing of kegs when necessary
- Assisting taproom staff with routine sales transactions, cash &; credit processing with the POS system
- Assisting with the set-up of on and offsite events when necessary

- Flexible schedule – must be available for evenings, weekdays and weekends
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Being an everyday ambassador for Copper Bottom Brewing
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to effectively listen
- Maintaining positive relationships with other employees and owners
- Maintaining Health and Safety Standards and Procedures, as well as internal safety standards
- Multi-tasking & prioritization of work
- Staying up to date with all Copper Bottom Brewing products & events
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Passion for good food and craft beer with a focus on the local community
- Must be able to lift various items, tables, chairs, and kegs to 50 pounds
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Responsible at all times for promoting a safe workplace culture
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods
