Wise Skateboarding is looking for individuals interested in leading engaging and safe skateboarding lessons for youth ages 4–16. This role is ideal for someone who loves enjoys working with kids, can provide a positive environment for learning, engagement and values youth development.
Responsibilities:
- Teach skateboarding fundamentals, safety practices, and advanced techniques to youth of varying skill levels (Will train)
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to create a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment that promotes self-confidence, perseverance, and respect.
- Lead group lessons alongside another instructor
- Monitor student progress and provide kind and helpful feedback.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Communicate with parents, guardians and program director.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth participants.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or teens
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check required upon hiring.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):
- Knowledge of fundamental skateboarding skills
- Experience coaching or teaching in other sports or recreational programs.
